Tilt is an agile high-speed 2-in-1 platform that can lean to point in any direction during hover flight and transition to forward flight to bring the convenience of close-up inspection to far away objects.
With an array of sensors housed in its aerodynamic form, Tilt flies quickly and efficiently to an inspection site before using its body as a gimble to acquire detailed data. In this way an external gimbal, and its associated weight and drag is eliminated, improving range without loss of functionality. The sensors’ view is never obstructed by the drone, which assumes various orientations, including completely vertical, to fit through tight spaces such as doorways. Once inspection is complete, Tilt transitions back to forward flight to return to base at speeds up to 150 kph before a final transition to hover for a precision landing.
